           Issue II Theme: 
        Whispering Winter

"Whispering Winter" an invitation for readers to discover the captivating and often underappreciated charm of early winter. This season represents a transition in nature, from the vibrant hues of autumn to the serene and mystical landscapes of winter. The theme is centered around tranquility and reflection, encouraging readers to discover the poetic and contemplative side of winter.

Rules 

Writers aged 13-18 only.

Poetry: We invite 1 to 5 compositions that cross genre boundaries, such as the melodic lyric, the orderly sonnet, and the moving haiku. Submit poetry here.

Prose: We encourage you to submit 1 to 5 pieces in the intriguing worlds of creative non-fiction, the transient allure of flash fiction, or anything that falls under Prose. Submit prose here

Art and Photography: The range of artistic perception goes beyond the confines of language. We accept up to 7 works of art or photographs. Submit art and photos here.​

Submission Guidelines

Welcome to The Gilmore Review, a prominent site that honors outstanding literature. We welcome writers from all backgrounds to submit their original works. Our mission is to cultivate a community of extraordinary talent and diverse voices. We respectfully ask that you adhere to the following submission standards in order to guarantee the highest quality.

Submission Process:
All submissions are graciously accepted free of charge, exclusively through the provided Google Forms link or through email (if a piece does not fit any of the categories mentioned above). 

Author Bio:
We invite you to provide a brief biography with your submission. Give details about your geographical area, previous literary successes, and interesting facts about yourself.

Submissions in Multiple Languages:

We gladly welcome and encourage submissions in multiple languages. However, for accessibility and comprehension, accompanying English translations are required.

Editorial Feedback:

We are committed to fostering your development as a writer. Regardless of acceptance or rejection into our literary magazine, our editors are eager to provide critical input on your contribution. This cooperation is intended to improve your craft and contribute to the literary conversation.

Processing Time:

The evaluation procedure usually takes a week to three weeks. Your patience is much appreciated as we devote time to thorough reviews.

Simultaneous Submissions:

We understand that the literary scene is multifaceted and that writers frequently engage with various venues. You are free to submit your work to different magazines at the same time. If your piece is sold, please notify us as soon as possible.

Originality and Respect

Plagiarism and respect have no place in our literary refuge. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for any sort of discriminatory content, including racism, sexism, and homophobia. Furthermore, explicit graphic depictions are incompatible with our ethos.

Rights 

The Gilmore Review will gain the first North American serial and electronic rights to unpublished works upon approval. These rights will revert to the author graciously after publication, honoring your creative ownership.
